Save me

Hi. I’m Oliver Sturtevant and I made a poster for the Painted Bins contest. For my poster I drew the earth and it has a speech bubble that says “save me.” The earth can’t survive unless we do everything we can to help her.

Here’s some things we do at my house to help. We compost our food scraps so they don’t end up in the landfill. We take shorter showers, so we don’t waste water. We turn off the faucet when we’re doing dishes instead of leaving the water running. Honestly, my dad and grandpa are still working on that one.

And if we’re cold at home, we put on sweaters instead of turning the heat on. I hope that you can do some of these things in your house, and share with your neighbors other things you do in your home to help the earth. She needs all of us to keep her healthy!
